Additional information: In 1905, Henry Fairfield Osborn unveiled the world to the legendary T-rex, widely regarded as the alpha dinosaur carnivore and perhaps the most iconic and renowned dinosaur species ever discovered. This extraordinary revelation emerged from the excavation of a skeleton in 1902 within Montana's Hell Creek Formation. Standing at a towering height of more than 4 meters (13 feet) and stretching an awe-inspiring 12 meters (40 feet) in length, the T-rex reigned supreme as the apex predator during the late Cretaceous period. It boasts the distinction of being one of the final dinosaurs to roam the Earth before the catastrophic event that led to their mass extinction.
